Meet the maker

Hello, I'm Jessica

I make everything myself at my garden workbench in Kent, usually with muddy hands and a pot of tea going cold beside me. Most mornings begin with a wander — down the garden for eucalyptus, rosehips and herbs, or along the shoreline for driftwood and sea glass — and whatever I come home with decides what gets made that day. I dry the oranges, wire the greenery, stitch the hessian and tie every bow by hand, so each piece carries a little of the season it came from. If it leaves my hands, it's been made with care, for someone who deserves something that isn't off a shelf.

Gifts of Kent grew from a simple love: gathering beautiful, natural things and turning them into gifts that mean something. Every piece begins in the garden or on the shoreline of Kent — the Garden of England — where we handpick greenery, berries, driftwood, beach stones and sea glass.

Nothing here is mass-produced. Our fabric doorstops are stitched from hessian and linen, our jewellery is wrapped by hand around stones worn smooth by the sea, and our seasonal wreaths are built large and generous, packed with eucalyptus, dried oranges, cinnamon and whatever the season offers.

Because every material is gathered by hand, no two pieces are ever the same. When you give one of our gifts, you're giving something genuinely one of a kind.
